In 2003 there was a run of “Winter Chinook” with some fish running over 30 pounds. This was somewhat rare, but Dave Maroon has a degree in fish biology and has worked on fisheries projects in Alaska, Oregon and California. With his expert knowledge he is more likely to be on top of what is going on and what possibilities for catching any and all types of fish may exist.
Dave Maroon’s Fishing Adventures also fishes for Bass and Catfish on the beautiful John day River Arm and for Shad on the Columbia River and the Willamette River. Best times for bass and catfish is in June and July and May and June are hot fishing times for Shad runs.
